We accept personal insurance. If your car is insured with AAA, State Farm, Allstate, 21st Century, USAA or American Family Insurance, you should add the RV to your personal policy for the duration of your RV rental. Typically your insurance company will not charge you to do so. If you're insured with a specialty insurance company, they may offer coverage. It's worth a phone call to your insurance agent.
This will save you money on the insurance fees, and will lower your out of pocket deductible in case of an accident.
You will need a special form from us called the insurance binder request form. When making your reservation, please let us know that you would like to use personal insurance and we will email you the form with all the necessary information on it.
Simply email the form to your insurance agent, and they will take care of the rest.
Once we get confirmation of coverage, we will remove our insurance, and refund the insurance fee.
Anyone that is listed on your policy will be allowed to drive the RV.
Proof of coverage must be provided a minimum of 24 hours before the reservation start to qualify for a refund of insurance fees.
You will be able to add 4 drivers to the policy due to our Rental Agreement. To add additional drivers, we will need a photo of their drivers license, email and phone number. Simply email or text that over to us and we will submit the information to the insurance company.
To qualify for insurance the drivers need to be over the age of 25 and have a clean driving record. The reservation needs to have at least 1 approved driver in order for us to release the vehicle to the renter. International drivers can be covered by the insurance.
This coverage will cover Outdoors RV Rentals as primary for losses covered under the policy during the rental. Renters’ personal insurance will act as primary to any coverage they have purchased through us. If other sources of recovery also cover the loss, the insurance company reserves the right to pursue recovery of any claim payments.

RV Rental Damage Coverage provides coverage should the insured renter cause accidental damage to the RV interior while it’s parked during the rental period. The plan provides coverage for accidental damages that can include: broken appliances and certain electronics, damaged interior doors, walls and furniture, stained bedding or linens. Covers up to $500. Any interior damage above that cost is the renters' direct responsibility.
Only available at the time of Checkout. Worried about plan changes? Add this plan if you want the flexibility to be able to reschedule your trip up to 14 days before the trip start without any penalties! You will have two years to reschedule your trip.
In the event that you damage the RV, you could be responsible for lost revenue while it is in the shop. If you purchase this waiver, Outdoors RV Rentals will waive our right to collect loss of use from you.
Each deductible waiver purchased waives $500 of your insurance deductible. Purchase 2 or 3 to get $1000 or $1500 reduction in deductible. Please note that insurance companies treat multiple incidents as multiple claims. If you have two or more accidents on your rental, each has their own separate deductible.
